October 8th: Start of Early Voting (Absentee In-Person)

October 24th at 11:59 PM: Application Deadline to Vote-By-Mail
If your current residence is not permanent, you may want or need to vote absentee by mail. Download the application form here.

November 4th: In-Person Early Voting Ends
November 5th at 6 PM local time: Absentee ballot must be received by your County Board of Elections
November 5th: Election Day 2024
Voting on Election Day is open from 6 AM to 6 PM local time. For info on where you can vote on Election Day, use the following links:

You must have a valid photo ID to vote. These are examples of acceptable forms of identification.
If you are a first-time voter and you registered by mail or in person, you may need to provide proof of residency when you vote.
Your proof of residency must show your current name and current address and must match the name and address you used to register to vote.
Acceptable forms for proof of residency include:
1. Any current and valid photo ID issued by the US government, the State of Indiana, or a Native American Indian tribe or band recognized by the United States government.
2. A current utility bill.
3. A bank statement.
4. A government check.
5. Your recent paycheck/paystub.
6. An official government document.
Remember, if you are in line to vote before, 6 PM, you CANNOT be turned away. If you are denied your vote because of an issue with your registration, request a PROVISIONAL BALLOT.

October 7th: Deadline to Register to Vote
Registering Online: Confirm your registration status or register here.
Registering by Mail: Download this registration form and return it ASAP to your County Voter Registration Office.
